If in North Sumatra there is Lake Toba, in the Province of South Sumatra (South Sumatra) there is Lake Ranau.
Yes Lake Ranau is the second largest lake of Sumatra Island. The lake is located in South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatera Province and partly in West Lampung District, Lampung Province.
The lake is created from large earthquakes and volcanic eruptions from volcanoes that make large basins. Therefore, geographically topographically, Ranau Lake is a hilly suburb. No wonder if in the area of this lake is very cool weather.

This lake has a diameter of about 300-600 m with depths ranging from 3 to 95 m. While the temperature ranges between 10-25 degrees celsius.
From downtown Muaradua, this lake is about 80 Km or about 2 hours drive by car. But do not worry, a considerable distance will not be felt. For along the way tourists will be treated to views of green hills.
